Feedback & Testimonials

Have we completed a restoration of your classic car or motorbike? Let us know how we did. We’d love to hear from you!

"As someone who has worked with classic vehicles from a young age, I unlike many, understand the complexity of the industry and can see how some customers may struggle to see what they have got for the money.

From my experience, from the start, quick to reply to emails and to arrange collection service (what a luxury that is).

Robin was a friendly face and chatting to him gave me peace of mind that I was handing my bike over to be cared for by like minded enthusiasts for the awesomely awful machine.

Ash was always transparent and upfront. Both when on the phone and in his videos, that give you just a small glimpse of the time, tools, knowledge and experience this work requires.

The videos are a good watch, almost up there with the “wheels through time” videos and help you keep in tune with the needs of the machines.

Just sourcing or making parts for an 80 year old machine could make a 5 min job take 5 weeks, so people need to manage time scale expectations.

I understand that spending £5,000 on a £15,000 bike will not magically make it worth £20,000. Nor will it suddenly behave 80 years younger. But if it has bought me a chance at another seasons riding then lucky me!

Some people will never understand this concept.

I fully understand that there is a lot of things a vehicle this age will need from the user and if something brakes, leaks, comes loose or needs attention then that is part of the hobby and as a road user my responsibility."

"Ash certainly knows his trade. It took him 10 minutes to do what I and others have been trying to do in 7 months."

Jim Shotter

"Ash & Stuart are professional and very knowledgeable. Annoying electrical glitch on my Chrysler which they sorted and some! It's always a grey area knowing who to trust with your classics but these guys are great and gave me full confidence.

Even went the extra mile to drop me home and collect me to pick up my vehicle once completed.

Much gratitude to you both and now my go to establishment for future work. Many thanks."

"I recently had the pleasure of working with RiE-Store to renovate my late father's BSA Rocket Gold Star, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. From start to finish, the team provided exceptional service, displaying both professionalism and a deep understanding of classic motorcycles.

The attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into the renovation was truly outstanding. The bike has been restored to its former glory, and I know my father would be proud to see it in such pristine condition.

The team at RiE-Store was communicative and supportive throughout the entire process, keeping me informed at every stage and ensuring that my expectations were not only met but exceeded. Their passion for what they do is evident in the quality of their work, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough to anyone looking to restore a classic motorcycle.

Thank you, RiE-Store, for bringing this cherished piece of my family's history back to life!"

"Regarding the re-build of my Harley WLA

Just want to thank the RiE-Store team for a cracking job well done!

I never doubted that my bike was in safe hands. Ash’s knowledge of these old bikes is incredible.

I would highly recommend."

Simon Jones

Can't recommend them enough!"

"My opinion for the services the RiE-Store offer is un faultable.

The flexibility that you offer makes life as a customer easy on dropping and collecting my motorcycle.

I have called in the past and when had a last-minute emergency a few days before a big trip, I called for your help, and you prioritised me and help fix my bike and this has really stood out to me on how accommodating you are.

I don’t really have much to comment more on how good your services are and value for money it is. For me it is and excellent idea about your new courses you are starting to run as well.

For me, the only query I would mention is that I am not a confident mechanic yet on my Harley WLA and would love to have the possibility to do a 1-1 course with Ash or for him to coach through the bike e.g. a service and things to look for / maintain, as I don’t have much confidence as a mechanic and would worry being with others. I would also find it more beneficial to lean from as well to build my confidence as a Harley owner.

Apart from that your services are outstanding and the service that you provide is unfaultable so thank you."

"After watching the RiE-Store channel on YouTube I contacted Stuart to recommission my Wla (1942WLA/WLC engine) after nearly 20 years.

Ash’s work and knowledge of the WLA is faultless and my bike is now set up serviced and unaware problems diagnosed, fixed and running perfectly…..Thanks Ash ….Thanks RiE."

Phil Mahoney

"Wow, just picked up my bike a WLA 1943 Harley, which I gave over to RiE-Store to see if they can help get it running better, after exhausting myself in my garage!

Ash the mechanic soon found my engine issues which was in fact a number of things!

When I picked up my bike it was as if it was new! I’ve had this bike for 8 years, and it never ever ran that good.

Utterly amazing company 12 out of 10!

Thanks guys"

"If you have a WL45 or similar this is the place you need to bring it to if you run into a problem getting her running properly. People like Ash who is the mechanic are hard to find. I am super happy with the work he carried out on my 1945 WL.

Stuart makes great videos of the work done at the workshop and they represent exactly what is going on there. Great people, great place, what does a Petrol Head need more:)."

"Having my 1946 Harley Davidson U completely overhauled last year, I have to say that I have had an excellent service throughout. Obviously there will be some teething problems and I found that 2 issues I had have been attended to by Ash either here in my garage (80 mile round trip) or in one instance had the H-D collected and delivered back to me. Stuart also wrote a report on the works carried out, which was a great help for the agreed valuation with the insurers."

Alex Brugger

"Ash took on my 1953 MV Agusta Pullman which was jumping out of 1st gear. I had struggled to find anyone prepared to try. Talking to Ash it was immediately clear he knew a lot about the bike. Ash also fixed a number of other issues and has given the bike a new lease of life. Wonderful - a proper craftsman!"

Bob Maurer

"Had brakes overhauled, fuel tank re-placed and gearbox problem sorted on my 1950 Pontiac Chieftain. Ashton did a great job and car is now great and is ready for the road. Ash and Robin are true professionals and have a great combined wealth of knowledge about the vehicles they work on. A lot of work done in a short time, well pleased with results."

Kevin Munnelly

"I had a stuck valve on my 1945 WL45 and couldn't figure it out myself. Even had fire spitting out of the carburetor. Once making contact with Ash, my bike was collected and trailered to the Workshop. Ash found the problem and gave my bike a proper setting and a full inspection. I believe there aren't many people out there with such knowledge about the 45". This comes only from tones of experience and Ash has collected this over decades you just can see. While my bike was in the Workshop, I also left an original speedo for an overhaul with them. Also, this was taken care of to my total happiness. So, if you own an old Harley and get stuck with some issues, go to the Workshop and have it fixed there. Thanks to Ash and Stuart for a 5-star service!."

Michael Fixemer

"The world of classic car restoration is full of people who over promise and under deliver, ASHTON IS NOT ONE OF THEM, he is the opposite! I was stuck on a couple of technical things, Ashton gave me solutions not problems, he had the skills and experience to quickly solve the problems and allow me to move on. THANKS ASHTON."

Philip Curtis

"Sent a rare Norton big 4 combination for assembly and painting. Ash did a superb job. Definitely recommend them if you need work done on your classic."

John Moore

"The beautiful WLA of mine is perfect! Everything about the bike is right. It drives and runs like a new WLA.

Thanks again for a perfectly done restoration. My next restoration will certainly be done by you guys!"

Roy Erdmann

"Nobody knows more about WW2 Harleys than Ash Dyer at RiE-Store. Ash had my Dutch imported WLC running beautifully, and even managed to restore and repair a very tired looking pair of saddle bags. I can’t recommend them highly enough."
