This page explains how RiE-Store Ltd uses cookies and similar browser storage on this website. For information about your personal information, retention and rights, read our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests to a website. Session storage is a separate browser feature that keeps information for a particular browsing session. Both can help a service work, but they can also be used for tracking. The purpose matters, not just the technology’s name.
2. Storage used by the customer intake form
Our multi-step customer intake form uses session storage to keep your entries and current step while you complete your enquiry. It is used for the form, not advertising or tracking you across websites.
| Name and type | Purpose and information | Duration and control |
|---|---|---|
riestore-intake-v1First-party session storage |
Keeps the details you enter, your selected answers, current step and a submission identifier. Uploaded photographs are not stored here. | Removed after a successful submission or when you select “Clear saved details”. Otherwise it normally lasts for the tab’s browsing session. Browser session-restoration features may restore it. |
This supports the form you have chosen to use. If a submission fails, your entries are retained so you can correct them or try again. On a shared device, use “Clear saved details” if you leave without submitting.
3. Website functions and administrator access
The bespoke theme does not include advertising cookies or an analytics tracking service. WordPress may also use browser storage for built-in features, such as remembering whether your browser can display emoji. WordPress login and administration can use cookies to recognise an authorised user and remember administrative preferences; these are separate from submitting a workshop enquiry.
We review this information when website features change. We will provide appropriate information and obtain consent where required before introducing optional tracking. This page does not itself grant permission to use tracking technologies.
4. YouTube and external websites
Our workshop video links open YouTube rather than playing an embedded video on this website. Some preview photographs load directly from YouTube’s image servers. Loading a preview therefore sends technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to that provider before you click the video. An external image request is not the same as an embedded video player.
When you follow a link to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or another external service, that service has its own cookie and privacy arrangements. See Google’s cookie information for YouTube.
5. The Workshop Companion
The Workshop Companion is managed through Kit. Where you use a Kit-hosted signup or confirmation page, Kit provides that service and may use its own browser technologies. Newsletter emails can also involve tracking images or tracked links; these are distinct from the temporary storage used by our intake form. See our Privacy Policy and Kit’s privacy information. Agreeing to receive the newsletter is not blanket consent to unrelated tracking.
6. Your choices
You can use your browser’s privacy settings to view or remove cookies and website data, and to restrict storage. Blocking storage may affect some website functions. Clearing browser data does not delete an enquiry already emailed to us or unsubscribe you from the newsletter.
To clear a saved intake-form draft, use “Clear saved details” on the form. To stop newsletter emails, use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact us. If optional tracking is introduced, the relevant choices will be provided alongside that feature.
